Caren Obuya comes from a small village in Kenya. Kwach Kwach, the Performer is her first children’s picture book publication. Her inspiration to write rises from having read a lot of children’s books and telling stories of her own, as a nanny. Caren holds a B.A. in Psychology, Associate of Arts in Elementary Education, Associate of Arts in General Studies, and a Diploma in Creative Writing. She’s a member of the Society of Children’s Writers and Illustrators. When she’s not reading, writing, or watching a movie, she’s probably walking or dancing. She’s currently working on a picture book, short story, and a young adult novel, but above all, God is her ultimate reverence. She lives in Maryland, USA.
